A friendly resource for women who want to lead better lives

May Day Baskets

When I was a child, my mom, my sisters and I used to make and deliver May Day baskets for all of our friends and neighbors. They were as much fun to give as to receive.

Do you need something fun to do with your kids today? Maybe want to show someone a little extra love? Try this fun activity!

  1. Make baskets out of construction paper, magazines, or anything you have lying around.
  2. Fill your baskets with flowers or candy.
  3. Leave a basket on the door knob, then knock and hide so the occupant doesn’t know who the basket is from.
  4. Voila! May Day baskets!

Here’s a little history on the background: NPR – A forgotten tradition: May Day Baskets

Hope you enjoy spreading a little sunshine today!

A sweet friend left this for my family and it made my day!

XO – Mary
